George Floyd Protests: Thugs Destroy Mercedes-Benz Dealership In California

One of the most controversial topics right now, George Floyd’s death has sparked protests all across the United States and beyond its borders. In solidarity with him, his family, and the #BlackLivesMatter movement, people in London and Paris joined their brothers and sisters in America to make the world a better place, little by little, through peaceful means.

However, not everyone is peaceful about it. Riots, full-on brawls with the police, and looting are spreading like wildfire in various parts of the U.S. A Mercedes-Benz dealership in California has seen the ugly side of this plight, and George Floyd wouldn’t be proud of this destruction.

Spraying #EatTheRich on the side of a Merc, burning down cars, stealing anything of value, and damaging private property is hardly a heartfelt tribute to Big George. Filmed by Jonathan Rivas, the following video shows undue vandalism to the tune of millions of dollars in damage.

In response to the dealership’s looting, Mercedes-Benz of Milano car salesman Alessandro De Simone took to Facebook to present his view on this unfortunate state of affairs. “I have seen all the crazy videos about your sales hall, completely destroyed by an idealism that has nothing to do with a protest against racism. It’s killing me to see what you are going through.”

“I really hope that you are all safe and that all the vandalism acts are over. I wish all your families and your country印象彩票官方网站 to get back to reality as soon as possible,” said Alessandro. Question is, does he have a point?

Protesting is linked to inequality, but destroying property in the guise of a business that offers jobs and pays taxes to Uncle Sam does nothing to help fight racism. Lest we forget, the hatred for wealth expressed nowadays by the #EatTheRich movement is what helped communism take over Russia.

From a subjective standpoint, I believe this behavior doesn't pay respect to the man who lost his life after a white police officer pressed his knee to Floyd's neck for nine minutes. Ask yourself this. How does destruction fight racism and police brutality? The answer to that is that it doesn’t.
